Work Day at the Nature Play Area

Let’s meet at the Nature Play Area at 10:00 am. We will work on the following:

• Clearing pathways to Area A (Cedar Grove), Area B (Climbing Tree), Areas F and F2 (Fort/Stick Building) and Area G (Fort/Stick building).
• Gathering long branches for the stick building areas – NOTE: we may be gathering branches from a debris pile that is across Hwy 61 from the visitor center.
• Harvesting and planting willow for use in the Nature Hut (part of Area C)
• Shaping the Nature Hut – attaching live trees/bushes to supports so it keeps its shape
• Making the looms

Please be prepared for bugs! Be sure to have bug spray and/or appropriate clothing to protect yourself.

Please bring gloves and tools if you have them, such as garden snips/pruner, lopper, Swede saw, rakes, shovels

Bring your own lunch and water / beverage of your choice.
